Forget shopping, I've got pie to eat

I woke up at 2:54 a.m. today -- not to score a discounted flat screen TV at Best Buy or throw elbows for bargains at Old Navy. 

I'm sick and can't breathe. Which makes sleep challenging.

Even in the best of health, though, I can't fathom waking at an ungodly hour to score hot holiday items at slashed prices. I covet sleep and I hate shopping. Black Friday is as foreign a cultural phenomenon as Super Bowl Sunday. 

I'll leave the mall and online shopping to you. Ok? I've got a piece of pumpkin pie to eat.

so on the news this morning the anchor said it best ... "if you are out and the crowds, lines and traffic are bothering you, stop complaining because you did this to yourself." I thought that was perfect to hear as I was getting dressed for work at 7:00 a.m.
