Backyard Reflections

Stormy thoughts raged in my head as I sat down to watch the children splash in the pools. I spied butterflies flitting above purple blooms and thought: "Oh, pretty. A diversion." I ran to get my camera then started snapping shots in search of Zen, but caffeinated pollen must fill our butterfly bush because I couldn't catch a calm moment. They twitched and fluttered and jumped about and, oh my, they were driving my crazy train right off the mountain top.
So, I looked for something ugly to match my mood and found this:
It's sort of ugly pretty though, right? I stumbled on pretty pretty after that.
And then, pretty funny.
Look: a butterfly and a naked boy! My laughs must have eased my angry aura because the butterflies flew closer and stayed longer and I got a sweet snap or two.

Too bad the mood lingers.

omg, i hate moods like that. it's as though someone dropped a tiny droplet of black ink in a glass of clear water and the whole thing is ruined. however, that picture made me laugh out loud!
Funny how the butterfly is bigger than the naked boy.
LOVE the second photo of the butterfly from the top!
